HUTT HOSPITAL

Published Tuesday 8 Apr 2014

The Wellington troupe of Clown Doctors visited Hutt Hospital on April 7th to mark Smile Day, the charity's national campaign.

Stopping first in the foyer of the main hospital building, the Clown Doctors performed an impromptu dance to 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams, before moving on to the children's ward where they visited patients and their families.

Clown Doctors NZ is a charitable trust which organises for performers to entertain patients in New Zealand hospitals. Their motto is 'Seven Days Without Laughter Makes One Weak'. Clown Doctor performers receive special training in how to interact with child and adult patients with particular needs.
