You might be wondering what happens when you stay in hospital. This page gives you some information about what to expect.

 

Free WiFi  - is available for all inpatients. Find out how to connect to the free wifi here.

Meals - All meals are provided and patients are given a menu to select from. If you have any special requirements please discuss these with our staff.

Cafés -
A cafeteria for patients, visitors and staff can be found on the ground floor of the Clock Tower block. Hours are weekdays 6.30am to 6.30pm, weekends 9.30am to 6.30pm. There is also Café Stat in the Clock Tower foyer.

Telephones- Mobile phones can be used, but there may be times you will be asked to switch your phone off.

Interpreters - If you required an interpreter please let our staff know, however in the first instance please bring a support person or family member to assist.

Television and Radio- Televisions are provided in most ward lounges. Please consider others and use your TV and radio with earphones.

Mail - Mail is delivered to each ward. Every effort is made to forward mail that arrives after your discharge.

Maori Health Unit- This is available to assist clients and whanau with issues. See here for more information.

Pacific Health Unit- This is also available to assist clients and their families. See here for more information.

Smokefree- The hospital and grounds are all smoke free areas. Staff are able to help you with nicotine replacement therapy while you are an inpatient.

Spiritual Care- The chapel is open at all times for reflection and quiet retreat. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day. Please ask our staff if you require assistance at any time.

Sunday services: Ecumenical 10.15 am. All patients, staff and visitors are welcome.
