When you’re unwell call your GP first. Your GP team knows your medical history best and should be the first place you call when you are unwell or have a minor injury.

Your GP team is there to listen, reassure, offer advice and identify what’s wrong. They can help you deal with many illnesses and injuries including:

infections and rashes
fractures and lacerations
emergency contraception and advice
stomach aches
vomiting and diarrhoea
insect and animal bites
stitches (sutures)
dressing care
minor cuts and bruises
minor burns and strains

If you’re sick or in pain and need to be seen immediately, your GP can schedule you an urgent appointment.
