Take part in 'Dry July' and give up alcohol for one month to help those living with cancer.

Dry July offers a challenge to adults to give up alcohol for a month and fundraise for those living with cancer.

The concept was founded in 2008 by Australians Phil Grove, Brett Macdonald and Kenny McGilvary who organised a fundraiser after losing family members to cancer. Over 1000 people participated in the event and $257,283 was raised. Support has grown and the non-profit organisation has raised over $20 million across both New Zealand and Australia.

Organisers says Dry July takes a lighter-hearted approach to supporting a serious issue and funds raised help create better services and environments for sufferers and their families.

This year Dry July is proud to have forty beneficiaries across Australia and New Zealand. Find out how you can be involved at https://nz.dryjuly.com/about.
