Our vision for change at Hutt Valley DHB

With the help of our patients and whānau, staff and wider community, we've created a vision for the future health system in the Hutt Valley. We want a system that works for everyone, that focuses on what people need and supports them to live well. Read more about our vision and what it will mean for the future of health in the Hutt.

Over the next 10 years the population in the Hutt Valley will change dramatically. By 2030 the population aged over 85 will increase by 70% and the number of people with long-term health conditions will grow significantly.

In order to meet the needs of the people of Hutt Valley and support everyone to achieve the same standard of good health, the Hutt Valley DHB has created a strategic vision for the next 5-10 years.

The strategy has been developed after engagement hui with whānau, patients, health professionals and community service providers.
