Hutt Valley DHB is taking part in the nation-wide Exercise Tangaroa this week as we would play a major role in any regional disaster response. This is a great opportunity to test our preparedness. But it’s also important that we are all prepared in our homes.
The most immediate source of aid in an emergency event will be your community and the preparedness actions you took before an event. We can’t prevent disasters, but we can reduce their impact and prepare ourselves to recover more quickly.
