Bee Healthy Regional Dental Service
The Bee Healthy Regional Dental Service is a new community-based dental service for all children in the greater Wellington region aged up to 18 years.
It follows the Government's programme to improve oral health services for children across the country with new funding for DHBs to re-invest in delivering better services for young people.
Our team have grasped the opportunity to make their service more relevant to today's kids and their parents, because we know the startling correlation between oral health and overall health.
However kids aren't interested in grown-up formalities, so BarnaBee our loveable local oral health advocate for our Bee Healthy Community Dental Service is helping get children buzzing about good dental care.
Enrol your child
All children in New Zealand with NZ citizenship or the appropriate resident status are entitled to free oral health services until their 18th birthday. It's important to enrol your child as early as possible into the service.
Your child's first visit will usually be after their second birthday. We will let you know the time of your appointment once you enrol. It's easy to enrol, just fill out a
short form or call 0800 TALK TEETH (0800 825 583).
